How the Process Works!
The Genesis Training and Job Development Corporation is a nonprofit corporation that serves the public, private, DVBE and rehabilitation industry through training and job development to employ persons with disabilities. The Genesis Corporation acts as a statewide central contact for private businesses and public agencies seeking to buy innovative goods and services from DVBEs and NPAs. We're also training experts in assisting government agencies procure goods and services without public bid (WIC 19403 & 19404).
Services We Provide!
The Genesis Corporation offers a wide array of education and training, new market and contract development services to assist business and government agencies in its efforts to purchase high quality goods and services at competitive prices.
Services Benefiting Private and Public Agencies:
- One Central Contact: One call to Genesis, Inc. puts you in contact with a network of DVBEs and NPAs that provide innovative goods and services that go beyond janitorial services.
- Needs Assessment: Need to reduce your overhead? Having problems with workers’ compensation claims? Seeking a dependable labor force that wont’ cost an arm and a leg?
- Bundling Services for Multiple Contracts: Multiplelocations with multiplevendors mean multiple contracts. Savetime and money and by-pass the bid process – use our collaborative State Use contract process. We’ll save you money.
- Agency Training: We offer one on one, departmental or agency wide training. We explain the law and its history, illustrate how it works, outline the external and internal processes, identify all goods and services provided by DVBEs and NPAs as well as highlight the positive economic benefits to the state, taxpayers and persons with disabilities.
- DVBE Assistance: Need help meeting your DVBE goals? We can help you identify and locate DVBEs that provide commercially useful functions.
- Agency Assessments: Together we’ll help your department meet its needs and demonstrate how we can best partner. We can help you calculate a projected dollar amount for the services you need and assist you in determining your contract authority (19130a or 19130b).
- Bid Specifications: We’ll revise or develop new bid specifications that best meet your department’s needs.
- Contract Meetings: We’ll facilitate all the contract meetings and review the contract sites to help you determine the best dollar value for your contract needs.
- WIC Oversight: We offer WIC 19404 state use oversight to ensure you are contracting with a qualified nonprofit agency that meets the terms and conditions of WIC 19404.
- Monitor Quality: We add another layer of quality control and respond to issues with the contractor.
- Contract Renewals: We’ll track the contract renewal so you don’t have to. We’ll notify you when the contract is up for renewal and seek your approval to begin the renewal process.
